1) My dashboard style

This dashboard shows my preferred look & feel pretty succinctly.

The ‘weekend bars’ are a signature of mine when showing time series data.

This data viz is live in the BART study shown at bottom of this list.

2) How I like to educate others

Here’s a single slide that I’ve used before to inform colleagues about how staging (test) servers work.

In particular, this was for new content authors who hadn’t worked in a production environment before.

3) How I deliver options to decision makers

This situation was about a critical database that was severely siloed. I joined a team that had an inefficient workaround in place for years.

Upon presenting this slide, option ‘C’ was instantly approved as a short-term fix. My Python code was reviewed by IT, accepted, and successful for this time period. Subsequently, we implemented the most efficient option, ‘A’.

4) An example suite of three dashboards

This live demonstration has a small selection of interactive dashboards that makes up an analysis of a school’s enrollment with different lenses.

5) An example research project

This was an analysis of the potential benefits of offering BART trains late on Friday and Saturday nights.

There are many functional dashboards to explore in this one. Multiple datasets used (and cited).

12 slides, 8 of them are data vizes, 4 of those are interactive.
